David is the colorist of the Newbury Honor Book "El Deafo" (Abrams/Amulet, 2014), which was written and drawn by Cece Bell. Coloring Bell's book included adding shadows to give the images form and depth.
David has also colored Victoria Jamieson's "All's Faire in Middle School", which will be released in September 2017.
David Lasky has done graphic design for clients ranging from Fantagraphics Books to Public Health of Seattle and King County. He is well versed in PhotoShop and InDesign, creating designs for print and web.

Co-authored with Frank M. Young, "The Carter Family: Don't Forget This Song" tells the true story of the seminal family of country music (Abrams ComicArts, 2012). Available now from your favorite bookstore, or online retailer.
David and Frank co-plotted the book, and drew thumbnail sketches of all the pages together. David then drew rough drafts and final art for all the pages, while Frank scripted the dialogue and colored each page.
David Lasky created layered illustrations which were used in the announcement video for the Bumbershoot music festival, as well as illustrations for the festival's social media.
